Building on 40 years of experience in teaching Auslan, Deaf Services Queensland has recently extended its course offering to include accredited courses through the establishment of a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Access Training and Education (RTO Provider Number 41192).

Qualifications received through Access Training and Education are nationally recognised by employers and other educational facilities.

22075VIC Certificate II in Auslan

The 22075VIC Certificate II in Auslan prepares students for simple communication with deaf and hard of hearing individuals or groups in the Deaf community.

22077VIC Certificate III in Auslan

The 22077VIC Certificate III in Auslan teaches participants how to give routine information in Auslan in a number of contexts, identify the principle characteristics of Auslan signs, and describe generally the cultural and historical trends and issues of the Deaf community.

22078VIC Certificate IV in Auslan

The 22078VIC Certificate IV in Auslan enables people who come into contact with Auslan users in their workplaces or community settings to expand their skills and enhance their employment opportunities.

22081VIC Diploma of Auslan

This occurence of the 22081VIC Diploma of Auslan is a complete Auslan suite and has been specifically customised for participants with life skills in Auslan but not a qualification.
