What is Sign On Employment?
Sign On Employment is an employment agency that provides service to Deaf and Hearing Impaired people who are on -
- Disability Pension
- New Start Allowance
- Parent Payments
How to Join?
You will need to go to Centrelink and ask to be referred to Sign On Employment. Centrelink will then make an appointment for you with a Job Capacity Assessment Specialist who will ask you questions and assess your ability to work and then refer you to Sign On Employment.

What service is provided?
Sign On Employment will assist you in Jobsearching for jobs you are interested in. We also provide interpreters for all Job interviews, training and staff meetings. We also do a monthly visit at your workplace to make sure all is smooth. |

Sign On Employment is a Disability Employment Network agency for Deaf and hard of hearing job seekers managed by Deaf Services Queensland.
We can assist job seekers who are -
- Deaf Auslan users
- People with mild hearing loss
- People with hearing aid devices
- People with tinnitus
- People with Meniere’s disease
- Deaf and blind job seekers.
We provide one–to–one tailored programs to meet the needs of the individual to find work.
If you are a job seeker who is Deaf or hard of hearing, are unemployed and have been assessed by Centrelink or a Job Capacity Assessor then contact Sign On Employment to meet our staff for an informal chat about how we can help you become employed.
