Voice Off Workshop

Voice Off Workshop is a valuable learning resource for professionals, public servants, service providers, health providers, families, educators, students and anyone with an interest in the Deaf community. 

The workshop is designed to inform and educate you on the many daily issues facing Deaf and hearing impaired people. It gives practical strategies and ideas on how you can assist in improve their participation in the life of the community and general quality of life. 

This is not a theory workshop; it is hands-on, practical and fun with 4 to 6 deaf role players and an Auslan interpreter.

By conducting a Voice Off Workshop, you will gain a better understanding of:

  • Communication strategies
  • The diversity of Deaf people
  • Some basic sign language
  • Who’s Who in the Deaf community
  • Resources to refer clients, friends and customers to appropriate agencies and services.

The workshop runs for 1 - 2 hours and can be tailored to the requirements of your organisation.
