Leaving a Bequest
A gift in your Will is a special way to support Deaf Services Queensland and make a lasting difference to the lives of many Deaf and hard of hearing people in generations to come. The gift does not have to be large for it to be valuable and make a big impact.
You may also choose to leave a gift on behalf of a family member or friend that has passed away. This is a thoughtful way to remember someone and at the same time support programs and services that benefit the Deaf community.
Some examples of wording that can be added to your Will:
"I give to Deaf Services Queensland the [sum of $_________]* free of all duties for the general purpose of Deaf Services Queensland and the receipt of the Treasurer, Secretary or Public Officer for the time being of Deaf Services Queensland shall be absolute discharge to my Trustee."
"I give _________ (% of estate) to Deaf Services Queensland free of all duties for the general purpose of Deaf Services Queensland and the receipt of the Chairman or other authorised personnel for the time being shall be a sufficient discharge for the same".
*Insert the sum of money, portion of the Estate or description of property.
