Australian Communication Exchange (ACE) provides invaluable free services for Deaf and hearing impaired Australians.

A free workshop facilitated by Phil Harper (in Auslan and voice) is being held in June to demonstrate the functionality of the Video Relay Service (VRS), the Captioned Telephone, Smart Auslan and Silent Tweets.

This workshop will provide information on how to make the best use of this modern technology at home, work or anywhere!

Workshop will show you:

  • How to use ACE Video Relay Serviceto ring hearing people through an Auslan interpreter,
  • How to use Captioned Telephoneto make a voice phone call with live captions,
  • How Smart Auslanprovides access to museums and art galleries,
  • How Silent Tweetskeeps you updated with important public information such as emergency alerts.
